Jeff Issokson

Violinist Jeff Issokson has provided a blend of contemporary and classical music for hundreds of weddings and parties in the Washington DC region since 2001. He has served as concertmaster for the Mid-Atlantic Symphony, performed with many local orchestras such as the Maryland Symphony and Ars Nova Chamber Orchestra, and appeard in concert with names ranging from Itzhak Perlman to James Taylor. He owns and operates a music academy in Olney, MD, where he and Rock Creek Strings' other founding member Fred Lieder pass on their knowledge, skills, and love of music to the next generation of budding musicians.

Fred Lieder

Cellist Fred Lieder, a Washington music scene fixture for 35 years, is an incredibly multifaceted musician whose skills range from classical to celtic, jazz to rock, with a heavy dose of blues thrown in. He has delighted audiences all over the country. Locally, he has played the Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, the Birchmere, Ram's Head, Blues Ally, Twins Lounge, and the State Theater, just to mention a few. Listen to a CD of many local recording artists and chances are, if you hear a cello, it's Fred playing on that backing track. He is the author of "My Cello Has the Blues," available at your local music store.

Judy Cho

Violinist and violist Judy Cho actively performs in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.  She studied with Itzhak Perlman and Masao Kawasaki at Brooklyn College and at the Graduate Center of the City University of NY.  She worked with violist Emanuel Vardi at the Manhattan School of Music.  She has performed orchestral, chamber and solo concerts at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher/David Geffen Hall and at the Kennedy Center.  She resides in McLean Virginia with cellist husband, David Cho and their two children.

Ko-En Shih

A native of Taiwan, currently based in the Baltimore-Washington metro area, violinist and music educator Ko-En Shih performs in a variety of musical styles ranging from classical to jazz. She has showcased her talents in Asia, Europe, and the United States. A graduate of the Peabody Institute,  under the guidance and instruction of Keng-Yuen Tseng, she earned her bachelors and masters in violin performance, and teaching certification in just 5 years. She also acquired her Graduate Performance Diploma in jazz violin at Peabody under Gary Thomas. Additionally, in 2017 she co-founded her own teaching and performance studio, Kismet Arts Innovation.
